Manage Your Sales Team and Organize Your Deal Flow


Even if we have a strong background in collaborative software, when we first created noCRM we were focused on very small companies. We were trying to solve the problem of organizing the sales process and deal flow in companies with 1 to 5 sale reps, in a way that salespeople would love. In fact at the very beginning we built the software for ourselves, as we could not find any service that was simple and efficient enough on the market.

For some reason we thought that the problem was solved for larger companies and that there was no room for a service with our philosophy: less form filling for sales people, less structured information, more time to close deals.

We were wrong.

A year and a half after the first release of our product, we now have customers with 200 sales reps that embrace our philosophy. Having 200 users in one company account is not the same as having only 5. In order to manage it while keeping the application and the workflow simple we had to develop team related features and settings, and define several ways to manage privacy.

Before that, noCRM had two levels of privacy: either everybody could see everything, either only admins could see other salespeople’s leads. To make it more scalable we’ve introduced teams, with team managers and with the same choices of privacy but inside a team.

Inside noCRM you now have 3 levels of users: admins, team managers and users. Depending on the privacy settings those users can or cannot access the statistics at a team or company level and can or cannot assign leads to other users.

One of the greatest strengths of noCRM has always been the ability to easily create leads directly from outside the application, by for example connecting the contact form of a website to the app. The lead can thus be created unassigned or assigned to someone. With the new team organization, an unassigned lead can be assigned by an admin to a sales rep or transferred to a team where the team manager will then be able to assign it to a sales rep. Once assigned to someone, an e-mail notification is sent to the sales rep so they can start working on it immediately.

As usual, the activity feed allows managers to follow their team’s activity in real time in order to help, advise and encourage their reps.

All these features noCRM.io has thought about, have the same aim : to allow sales managers to smoothly manage their sales team, and for sales people to be more efficient.

Thanks to this new organization, sales people know what they have to do each morning by going to their ”to-do” pages, they can interact with their manager, and admins can keep an eye on every team activity.
